Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are a soft tissue filler that is injected into the skin at different depths to provide volume and to restore a smoother appearance.
At CM Couture Aesthetics the Belotero dermal filler range made by Mertz is used. As a Nurse I make safety within my practice imperative, therefore the Belotero range is first choice as it is FDA approved meaning it has been studied and trialled on a significant amount of individuals first before qualifying as clinically safe to use.
It is hyaluronic acid base and water soluble, which means it binds with water helping to plump the skin and ensuring a smoother appearance.
Because the Belotero range is water soluble the risks of any lumps and bumps being left after injecting are minamised. It also has the ability to enable myself when injecting to inject superficially rather than deeper to avoid any arteries of the face therefore again reducing the risks even further.
This product is only sourced through a pharmacy rather than an aesthetics warehouse ensuring it is deemed as a authentic product.

What are Nasolabial Folds aka Smile Lines/ Marionette Lines?
These folds deepen as cell turn over decreases along with collagen and elasticity. By injecting Belotero dermal filler back into these folds, volume loss will be restored, therefore creating a fresher, more softer, youthful appearance.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
Anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscles within the face to improve fine lines, wrinkles and furrows. This results in a healthier more fresher, youthful appearance. Anti-wrinkle injections last 3-4 months on average. With regular treatments overtime this treatment can last longer. This treatment can be tailored to each individuals needs.
How does Anti-Wrinkle Treatment work?
The toxin I chose to practice with is made by Mertz, the same company who makes the Belotero range. I chose this toxin, as being a Nurse safety comes first, with this particular toxin there have been no written evidence linking this toxin to individuals coming immune to this product, also it does not contain a protein in it therefore there is no written evidence to state this toxin can cause drooping of the face solely by the properties within this toxin.
Anti-wrinkle injections blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle cannot contract which therefore enables the wrinkles to relax and soften.

What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid gel that is injected to the face, but can also be injected into other areas such as the décolltage, hands and knees. This product is fantastic for boosting and hydrating the skin but most of all it reverses ageing and helps ageing tissue.
Profhilo works by stimulating collagen and elastin which encourages water to reach the deeper layers of the skin in turn volumising and plumping out fine lines.

Dissolving Lips
Dermal filler can be dissolved for different reasons. Dissolvidase or hyaluronidase is an enzyme that is naturally within our bodies and by injecting this into the lips it enables the dermal filler to be dissolved safely over a 2 week period as the enzyme is semi-permeable and will work through the differs layers of the tissue.
